Here in LVP, we provide a lot of different options for your new build property, all with varying budgets
Thermodynamic Solar Panels
Thermodynamic Solar Panels are our flagship product. A 1 panel thermodynamic solar panel will be sufficient to provide 100% hot water in your new build. You will need to still give thought to how you wish to heat your home if you go with this option. Ordinarily, the thermodynamic panel will be sufficient to meet compliance in a house of up to 2000 sq ft. We can add a second panel and this will normally suffice for up to 2400 sq ft. It is important that LVP are given a copy of the plans of the house and an xml file in order to ensure full compliance.
A thermodynamic solar panel for your new build can set you back between €4700 to €6000 inclusive of installation and Vat
Photovoltaic Solar Panels
This can be the cheapest way to meet full compliance in your new build. The number of panels that are required on your roof will depend upon the spec of the house, we can clarify this information if we receive the house plans and xml file. It should be noted that if you go for this option, you will still need to give thought to how the house and hot water will be heated.
It is worthwhile fitting the likes of an Immersun if you prefer this option. The immersun is an item that will divert any excess free power into contributing towards your hot water requirement.
A photovoltaic solar system for your new build can set you back between €3000 and €6000 including immersun and full installation. This price will very much depend upon the size of the house and further information should be sought.

Thermodynamic / Photovoltaic Hybrid
This extremely popular combination of the two technologies above gets the best out of both worlds. The thermodynamic solar controller contains a “dry line signal” which is similar to the immersun. We normally fit a combination of a thermodynamic solar panel and an array of photovoltaic solar to comply with Part L of the building regulations. The electricity generated will more than offset the running cost of our compressor, making this a very attractive proposal. While you still need to have a heating system, the hybrid technology ensures you have 100% free hot water for the rest of your days.
A thermodynamic / photovoltaic hybrid for your new build can set you back between €7000 and €8500 including full installation. Once again, this price will very much depend upon the size and spec of the house.

Air to Water Heat pump
LVP also bring to the market, the Energie air to water heat pump. This system is capable of providing full heating and hot water throughout the year, while complying with Part L of the building regulations at the same time. LVP can also supply a full supply and installation service of your underfloor heating and heating controls if desired.
An air to water heat pump for your new build will set you back up to €9,500 including full installation. Once again, this price will very much depend upon the size and spec of the house.
Air to Water Heat pump / thermodynamic Hybrid
As an alternative option, LVP offer the option of combining the thermodynamic panel with the air to water heat pump for even greater efficiency. We utilise the heat pump just to work with your underfloor and/or radiators. The thermodynamic panel then looks after the domestic hot water supply only.
Benefits to this
- The heat pump only has to operate during the heating season
- Less pressure on the heat pump during cold weather
- Better distribution of water to showers sinks (depends on house design)
- Better all round efficiency
An air to water heat pump / thermodynamic hybrid for your new build will set you back up to €10,000 including full installation. Once again, this price will very much depend upon the size and spec of the house.
